It keeps people off the roads so EMS can respond to things more safely. I understand I some privilege here. Work closes if MPS does. I don't have kids to worry about if I still have to go to work. I currently have PTO I can burn for a paid day off.

In the past, I haven't always had that PTO to burn, and I've had to take it unpaid. I just... schools are damned if they close and damned if they don't. Sometimes, I feel bad for the hate and bullshit they get for closing if the weather doesn't appear to be as bad as people think it needs to be.
