On average, Americans think individuals of immigrant heritage can be good citizens. This is not the case when we subset by partisanship.
All advice is subject and context specific, but I will say, from my experience: if I had pumped the brakes I might have never finished the second book and get promoted to full. The path from associate to full is the final leak in the pipeline for women. I was very aware of that fact.
