Off to Royal College of Radiologists this morning for a meeting on sustainable oncology. So excited to see colleagues I’ve only met over zoom in person!

And with my health sector hat on... multiple Oncology colleagues unable/very delayed to get into work in Oxford and London today - tube lines and roads flooded. Same for patients. Extreme weather, exacerbated by climate change, compromises healthcare. 1/2

Slow action on climate change coupled with years of underfunding of schools playing out at my daughter's school today. Absolute deluge of rain - schools had to shut as the old buildings can't cope with volume, drains backing up, roofs are leaking, electrics tripping. We need to do better...
