What if… WHAT IF we scaled academic “service” directly with pay? Higher pay = more service. Document that shit. It’s thankless work that no one wants to do but someone has to. Women get disproportionately loaded down. Junior faculty have no power to say no. Make the senior ($$$) faculty do it.
