Way too many coffees, very sleep-deprived, but it was worth it! The #Lherzolite2024 conference was excellent and I can't wait for the next one! 🤓 I'm just a bit sad that the airport confiscated my rock candies... 🥺
Fantastic news!! After years of hard work, my modeling manuscript with @sarahlambart.bsky.socialwww.jvolcanica.org/ojs/index.ph...
Rainy but great two days at Cabo Ortegal for the #Lherzolite2024 conference! And even got some rock candies to take home ;-) 🪨
On top of being an excellent sedimentologist, all the people I heard tonight were praising what a great human being this woman is. Margie has done so much for #WomenInSTEM, public outreach, and the preservation of geological sites! I'm feeling honored to have been her colleague for a few years.(2/2)
I had the pleasure of attending the retirement celebration for Dr Margie Chan. I am so impressed by the great impact Margie had on her students, mentees, colleagues, & friends over her career @universityofutah.bsky.social. (1/2)
Big congrats! 🥳
If you had ONE week to send FIVE papers and a proposal back to co-authors and prepare and print a poster, what would you do? Asking for a friend... #PanicMode
Never a bad idea to go back to the source! 1st edition of "Characteristics of Volcanoes" By James D. Dana (1890): Look at this skeletal olivine. He even drew melt inclusions!! 🤓And this 3D drawing of reticulite is 🤯. Thank you Thure Cerling for this great gift! 😊
