The assumption comes from reading the post first and my internal voice is me so the post sounds like it's spoken by a white guy. Then I look at the username and profile pic and it's like "oh, yeah" then I reread the post with the new context.
As a white guy, I often have to check myself from assuming that everybody I'm reading is also a white guy. Could be some of that going on?
