Dem politicians in NY are always whining about how hard it is to run/win in a state that has a very liberal reputation and very progressive pockets and also a very large conservative population (northern/western NY, oh and Staten and Long Islands.) Our machine rewards idiotic stunts like this. 1/

Whenever a Republican wins election here, especially for major offices like Mayor of NYC or governor, it sets progress back decades, sometimes irreparably. Adams just closed all the libraries in NYC on the weekends to pay the cops a zillion more $, and yet, we still need the National Guard? 2/
