Just gotta get his ass end printed now! Went a little overboard with the supports but I'd rather be safe than sorry with the angles he's got there.
While I was at work and while filing Eglok down I also got these guys printed! The largest has a huge chip missing in the front though... I'm going to *try* to re-sculpt that area with some filler, but I will probably have to reprint him. The others came out decently though!
He's about as flat as I'm gonna get him for now! I've left a little bit of wiggle room so I can sand him down exact to fit the other half. Just gotta print the 2nd half! Gonna have to wait until the water is back on - I'd rather not mess with the printer when I cant wash my hands
His internal rod is coming along really nicely too! Still needs some post processing to really get out the print lines though.
gradually getting the failed eglok print flattened out, I'm gonna try to smash it out tonight after work so I know exactly how much of him to reprint! (shout out to the cracks I had to glue shut there from filing him too aggressively)
(molding and printing my current models is first priority of course! these were just some quick ideas.)
Some toy idea sketches! First is an insertable dragon head, more on the cartoony side in design - I think she's quite cute! The second is an idea for an ovipositor/penetrable fusion. I've just been calling it the "ovipen." Not sure if I'd like it to be draconic or insectoid yet. What do you think?
I keep them covered with plastic wrap *and* keep them upside down and in a crate, but they still end up with specs sometimes - and it only takes one to ruin a pour... I'll look into maybe dusting the room a bit better, as unfortunately the airflow being on is non-negotiable in my living space rn. ☺️
I'm having an annoying issue with dust and debris making it into the molds despite me keeping them covered when not in use... I think I may need to lint-roll my hands like 3x more often when prepping for pours, perhaps.
They all look great!! There was a slight dent on the shoulder blade of Eglok, but I believe that is just where I accidentally dug in my fingernail trying to get him out of the mold, since these are also my first 00-20 pours!
