I cannot recommend these things enough. You can program the downstream link to be just incredibly shitty and proxy HTTPS without messing up your main switch. https://www.friendlyelec.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=282

Problem 6: these things don't actually fit in parking spaces! So, they block the road by sticking out too far, or take up two spaces.

It'll be interesting see what happens if Threads actually does federate.

That's what you say. Do you have any evidence for this?

It’s exactly the right decision, and they can change it tomorrow if they want. A big problem with these things is an empty timeline in the beginning. Twitter did a “suggested users list” 15+ years ago, but now it can be done without that, for better or worse. I didn’t see anything crappy.

It is pretty simple? I know people that worked on Second Life and have heard many horror stories that have nothing to do with technical barriers. Secondly, I have worked on big social products, and once you get to a product with 50+ languages, there will be horrible things you are unaware of.

This person's assertion is totally not true, btw. I know people that worked on Second Life, although I never did. They had problems with Neo-nazis figuring out ways to disrupt furry weddings by sending everyone to space in a cage. Stuff like that. Big troll habitat.
