At first I just didn't follow AI fans. Then I unfollowed people who started getting into AI art. Now I'm unfollowing those who share AI art. Just quit it. It feels bad to look at. I don't want you to habituate my brain to it and destroy the planet because you can't draw or find better pics of cats.

I have a good internet friend on another platform who has gotten deep into AI art. They're an actual artist, too! It's baffling. They craft prompts and photoshop the resulting glop themselves, but I *still don't want to see it*. And I don't know how to talk to them about this.

exactly. I’ve always blocked the original accounts, but by now I think the people sharing it have to know the issues with it and are deciding to use and share it anyway!
