OpenAI hosting university presidents to pitch enterprise contracts. Google spending $25M to, in part, train K-12 teachers to use AI. Resharing my paper arguing educators and students should learn against and about GAI while developing a Luddite praxis: repository.isls.org/bitstream/1/...

With many people getting COVID from the summer surge, a reminder that the CDC's isolation guidelines are inadequate. It's best to isolate until you test negative on multiple tests. If you can't stay home the whole time, wear an N95 mask to stop the virus spreading to others.

Infographic with chart of COVID infectiousness time

How Long Are You Contagious
With COVID-19?

Studies suggest:
• Most people are infectious for ~10 days
• ~80% of people test positive for 5 days after symptom onset
• Only ~30% of people who test positive have a fever
• Presence of symptoms is an unreliable indicator of infectiousness
• Individuals can be infectious before the onset of symptoms
• Asymptomatic cases represent at least 20 to 40% of all infections
