HHS says 40% of US prison inmates have HCV, even if IDSA says it's a bit less. Only about 1% get treated, per HHS. Most acquire it thru IDU but for many the route is unknown. This is cruel/unusual punishment. HCV leads to late but lethal outcomes. www.hcvguidelines.org/unique-popul...
