Jayston wasn’t available for the filming dates apparently. Anthony Bate and Bill Paterson also back, IIRC. I listened to the Simon Russell Beale version of Honourable Schoolboy to fill the gap

I loved the SRB adaptations - I think they edge Guinness', but that may just be because they do the whole thing.
