If you’re in a scrap and you even suspect someone has a knife you drop your butt and run
I have studied martial arts for 15 years trained with knife fighting and I can tell you right now if I was ever confronted with a person with a knife I would run away as fast if not faster than this guy. The only fight when you have absolute no choice. There's almost always a choice.
I've seen The Raid 2, I'll be fine
Had a fight end exactly that way. Very glad my roommate was of the same mind. The guy pulled the knife because we were winning; we immediately forfeited & skedaddled
I learned this from the multiple-discipline martial arts club instructor. He described once interrupting an incident by running halfway toward the knife guy, creating a distraction, and running off, the victim running the other way. “People with knives are nuts, man!”
I took a women's self-defense college in class and they indicated that knives were very very very bad news, and you should do whatever you could to not be near them
I don’t know if it’s real but I once read a quote supposedly from a Chicago mobster: “Rush a gun, run away from a knife.”
