So I called the Einbürgerung office to make an appointment to submit my citizenship application, but the one person who can see me is on vacation, and no one else can make the appointment. Try again next week. 🤷‍♂️

Got the German citizenship application in the mail. I already have all the data and documents I need, so I completed the form and can call Monday to make an appointment.

Just called the county office to ask about German citizenship. With name and birthdate they pulled up my file (so much for data protection), asked some basic questions, and they’ll send me a form and a list of required documents. Much easier than I imagined. 😃
