Failure? Nah dude this absolutely rocks!! Hell I'd say those crooked stylized wings add to the whole piece's feel in a way anatomical wings might not have. Just because they might not be able to fly if hypothetically put on earth, doesn't mean it's bad or a failure or anything like that!
