I've spoken often and at length about how impressed I am by indie authors, because I do not have the executive function to be my own publisher. I get dropped by one, I go looking for a new one. I run out of options, I'm pretty well fucked.

I have a 10+ year gap in my resume. I'm physically disabled, and can't do most of the jobs I'm qualified for. I'm the primary support for my mother, and my medical insurance is easing up on $700 a month for just the basics. I NEED my publishers.
