Not to jinx it but half an hour later she’s quiet. We might have to explore giving her some trazodone at bedtime. She didn’t do this in the old place.

The little dog went into her kennel and was quiet for three minutes before she started whining. I am honestly wondering if it would be better for my rest/mental health if we stopped insisting on the kennels until everything is more settled.

It probably doesn't help. I am drinking so much chamomile tea about it. I should probably do some mindfulness or something awful like that. It's also not even been a full month yet, so things could get better still.

...also doing the math I could work here for 2 days a week and make almost as much (accounting for clinic rent/supplies) as the full time coordinator job I just applied for, with way less driving. What if I simply sucked less and could make it work!!!!

The owners of the good clinic designed and offered to buy the first batch of business cards for me. 🥺 Honestly if I felt any confidence that I could make the client flow work and if I wasn't so worried about parental leave, this would be such a nice place to work.
