In a couple of weeks Centre for Sustainable Futures & Landscape/Senses research cluster at Uni Copenhagen are hosting a two Day #envhum bonanza featuring Bethany Wiggin and Caitlin DeSilvey. We will have walks, talks, thinking and exploring different threads of disciplinary engagements. Stay tuned!
We literally had to get extra chairs for all the people today! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU to all of those who defied the rain and got up early to attend to this mornings event. I am totally blown away (and humbled) by the amount of attention and engagement my PhD has received! Thank you!
Just have to re-state this every month or so: "doomer" in the climate context is a muddled, messy word. Some people mean 'fatalist', as in climate action is politically or physically impossible. Some people mean 'catastrophist', as in, they say the still-avoidable impacts will be apocalyptic
