Yes! (Until I read the Statistica thing, I had assumed that CCS was a white elephant technology completely unprioritised/unreferenced by IPCC.)

Yes, many scenarios rely on quite a lot of CCS, including eg National Grid ones for UK. I think there are various issues with turning that into investment decisions. One is other tech (particularly energy storage) has moved on much faster, so future scenarios are likely to include less CCS. 1/2
