That's absolutely an option, but it doesn't do anything to their metrics or pockets and feels like an empty gesture.

Some people don't want to have rot hanging around in their libraries. And yeah, it doesn't do anything to the devs at all, like they won't get a notification or anything either, it's more for yourself if you want to clean up the trash ^^
