"don't let us die." i do not exaggerate. HRT is lifesaving medicine like antidepressants. for many of us, having the correct hormone is life, and not having it is death. gender-affirming care keeps us alive. our names, our gender markers, our medicines, our surgeries. agency is life.
I'm tired of people not giving a shit about us... Ohio basically made transitioning illegal and we get... Nothing in response from the people who claim to care about us and our rights so much.
I've had to tell people that before HRT, literally every day for years I would have an internal mental conflict between 2 sides of myself. If I was masculine or feminine and what would make me happy. This was even after I identified myself as genderfluid. Yeah since HRT none of that shit. 1/
Just imagine a cis person being pumped full of the wrong sex hormone and otherwise forced to transition. Existentially horrific. Cause the flip side to that is a trans person who *critically needs* the right sex hormone and etc.
Absolutely. My son would not be here if he couldn’t access T.
HRT did what no antidepressant I've ever put on could do, which was cut through the fog of depression and exhaustion that I'd been living in for basically my entire life.
If they come for all youse, they go over me. I'm not going to live in a world where the state genocides you.
Gender-affirming care is importent. I'm tired of assholes who try to control the bodies of others and impose biological essentialism on people.
