If social networks are incapable of stopping genocidal hate speech I would really strongly consider if they are worth the trouble.

I think that also ignores that social networks do come with pretty clear upsides, even if it's challenging to do a clear cost-benefit analysis. And I say that as someone who's been reporting on how social media can facilitate genocide since 2012.
