In Oregon we don’t often see the sunrise in December, but when we do it’s pretty good.

As a Californian who lived in Seattle, they don't even get to see the sun...(just joking)

You live at a much higher elevation than I do. My sunrise is Mt Hood though, so I can’t complain.

at "dawn" i couldn't even see the oaks in my own back yard, the fog was ... tangible. eugene, south hills, at 800'.

Well, it kinda might depend where one is in Oregon, but the winter sunrise over seven devils (ID but viewed to the E from OR) is pretty awesome. E of the cascades’ marine layer rocks it, just sayin…

We could see the stars last night, a rare treat.

Is that because there's a whole continent in the way?
