Trump is one of the most disliked national politicians in recent history, but in many places it's perceived as weird or radical or "woke" to vote for a Democrat. Letting people know that their neighbor or bartender or grocery clerk or barista is voting blue can turn Trump dislike into Dem votes.
Important to remember that Biden was one of the first candidates in a LONG time to win more votes than the number of nonvoters.
Yes! Many republicans need to feel like the tribe will protect them (making them susceptible to the strongman con). Showing them who “the tribe” is now that maga is wilting helps their anxiety brain reset.
Blue pumpkins for Halloween.
Nothing has more potential to pierce through the hysterical apocalypticism that marks areas dominated by MAGA political culture than neighbors letting other neighbors know "hey, you know I'm not a communist and don't have horns or two heads and I'm voting for Harris."
I've been trying to explain this to my mom. A lot of her family is very republican, and she doesn't understand how they say they still vote for trump. I call it "team theory" and I try to use NBA in her era to describe When Clyde Drexler got traded he no longer supported the Blazers..
Right! Trump is -13. Harris is +3. We don’t have to be cowards about this. I put up a Harris Walz sign. I’m in NJ, but I didn’t see any signs in my town, so I put one up.
Not American here with 2 questions: 1. Is peer-pressure a factor in these small community that inhibit people to stand out as Democrats? 2. For those who can't stand Trump but aren't ready to vote for Harris, wouldn't be easier for them to simply not vote at all?
