“You know the town so well. By name.” Love these moments when Trump accidentally says things like “no one’s ever heard of this boring shithole you people live in, but apparently you like it and might respond positively to my racist appeal so why the hell wouldn’t I use that to my advantage.”
I can hear him saying “Drop page!” without a trace of irony
band singer: "what's up, [name of town we're in tonight]?" crowd: <goes wild>
"Charleroi. Many people say that's a French name. You used to hear so much beautiful French on the streets here, but not any more. Kamala is bringing in those monsters from Haiti and soon you won't be hearing French on the streets of Charleroi anymore."
That "by name" comment caught my eye, too. Just kind of sticks out. Are there people who don't know the name of the town they live in?
"Whatever the hell you rubes call it, all you've got is a crummy 7-11, but anyway..."
Meanwhile, on earth, the story of Charleroi seems to be one of automation and factories moving overseas that has seen nothing but decline for decades.
“You know the name of the town you live in.”
In the clip I saw of this “speech” I heard him say “something something your towns and villages.” I was like villages? Are there villages anywhere in America?
