AFAIK, Clark has done nothing to cause this and is not complicit with it. But it’ll be interesting to see how she and the WNBA handle the growing number of fans whose investment in the game consists, to some degree, in rooting for the white woman and angrily against her Black antagonists.

Yeah, I was having this conversation in another thread. It's unfortunate that CC is being made into such an avatar for racist/homophobic fans, but as the other player says in the article, she's ultimately going to have no choice but to speak up against it if she doesn't want to be used that way
