I think pride is going to be a stretch... but it took over a year to work out that certain devices (modern WeVibes and Satisfyers) will only pair with windows if you're using CSR4 chipset Bluetooth adapters. I learnt so much about low level Bluetooth only to find out that noone implements it right..
