What I want this story to be is definitely not whatever it actually is

In 2014, I announced to my family I wanted to quit my job and start my own consulting business. My 5 and 9yo kids said, respectively, "Start your own business?! That's the craziest thing I ever heard!" and "What should we call our business?" (classic oldest kid). It WAS a bit crazy, and scary. 1/2

Had to take the 15yo for a blood draw this morning. It's the first time he's had anything like that. I was worried about how it would be, but he was a TOTAL champ, even when they failed on the first attempt and had to try his other arm. Sometimes my kids amaze me.
