A fundamental honour & privilege of parenthood is getting to watch your children become themselves, which feels multiplied a thousandfold when you parent trans kids. I grieve that Nex & their parents didn’t get to continue that journey together

I love watching my youngest explore their selves and determine their place in the world. But it is scary to know that the world just out our front door is a shit show and potentially harmful to them.
