people inquired about the well-being of my family. people said they just wanted to go home and live in peace. they said they knew judaism wasn’t a violent religion. they differentiated between zionism and judaism. they begged for everyone to speak out to try and save lives and call for a ceasefire.

I’ve never had a single bad experience with Palestinian or even more broadly Middle Eastern people in my community on account of me being Jewish. Not once Now, being around the orthodox, on the other hand…

Such a lovely message to share. The warlords don’t listen to what the people want and need, anywhere. I’ve never seen a population openly congratulate a government for taking them into a war.

I visited the table some Palestinian students set up outside near a quad by my office. They were flying flags and waving kaffiyeh scarves... knowing full well their visibility was a risk, but all they wanted was to be heard.
