I have a male coworker who's now politically won an election to be my boss's boss. Politically. For which he was the least qualified but kept running year after year. I've had put up with sexual innuendo from him from day one. Worried it will be much worse now.

But it is so much more subtle than that. So if you try and point it out you seem too sensitive, insecure, etc.

Yep. Had to work with female mentees on countering soft discrimination, the constantly downgrading or ignoring of their excellent work--or handing the credit for it to a mediocre young man. How to do passive aggressive jiu jitsu against this career-busting apathy was a continual, exhausting puzzle.
