I have a backup number now, simply because I have way too much tied to this number. Thankfully, it stopped about 3 days after the whole doxxing thing, and I cleared info from the website. (It confirmed the whole thing after seeing that said messages came from a PAID site, so yeah. Deliberate.)

I try to keep as close to the original dialogue as possible, but if I need to stretch, I try to make it continue to make sense and have continuity to the dialogue before it.
