I will truly miss how @stevesilberman.bsky.social always appreciated my autistic son’s joy. He spent so much time with our family, and understood deeply how hard things could be for us all as we constantly learned and unlearned how to support him. But he loved all of Leo, and never patronized him.

We are new to autism and I had never heard of Steve Silberman until someone on X mentioned his passing and mentioned Neurotribes - I borrowed the book from the library and just finished the section about Leo and the care in the writing is amazing and I am so appreciative of you sharing your story
