Ok- following up. That mayoral forum was phenomenal. Does anyone running the debates for the GOP primaries or presidential debate committee want to call my students? I’m just sayin- they write excellent questions, moderate effectively, & were efficient with time. Legit- call us. We can help.
Tomorrow my students are hosting a forum for the community to hear mayoral candidates answer questions created by the students. The students designed the format, questions, and planned the staging. This is what real life civic engagement looks like.
Homecoming dress up days require me to bring an extra outfit to work on the off chance that I have appointments or errands after school. Because the last thing I want to do is go to the eye doctor dressed in my pajamas, slippers, robe, and sleeping mask.
So much going on in the news over this weekend. I need time to digest & consider what context to share to support student thinking. Oh and it’s Homecoming week. I love the week but it’s hard to balance the ups and downs.
