14 reasons to give the Wii a try. Some of my favourites so far, a lot of which are still very cheap to pick up. And to hack them for alternate access and uses, all you need is a USB stick or SD card. Wiis are still dirt cheap to pick up too, but check for the GC ports; not all models have them.

Madworld got a lot of grief for being such a violent title on the Wii but it was actually a good game. Pandora’s Tower was another that too many ppl slept on. I can’t tell you how many hours I sank into My Life as a King. That game was hard to put down.

Final fantasy Crystal Chronicles Crystal Bearers is such an underrated gem of a game. Is basically a sandbox where you bully NPCs and monsters with telekinesis and face discrimination. Sky Crawlers is soooooo good

Bully: Scholarship Edition is the Wii game I played the most. I even did a lot of videos on it a long time ago such as starting fights in the boys dorm by throwing stink bombs towards the exit and throwing itching powder on the other boys, causing them to fight each other and kicking off the brawl.

Lots of great stuff there! I have half of those games and would've had Zack & Wiki too, had my local CeX not lost the disc. Funnily enough, I've done a short piece on Madworld for Retro Gamer issue 260 just because I knew it'd look striking blown up across a two-page spread.

Dug out my WiiU a while back with the unashamed goal of playing Doshin the Giant again after 20 years. Really should use it to check out the Wii library as well for the games I missed back then.
