I was amazed at just how good anime on DVD looks on CRT when I started picking up old singles and box sets a couple of years ago. On ours, especially our Trintitron-alike, they look near-Bluray quality.

Same applies for live action shows on DVD! My copies of The Twilight Zone and X-Files and especially Star Trek TOS just fit and look so cozy on a CRT
