From Deluxe Paint to Brilliance - one of my favourite features on Amiga animation and fave CU Amiga covers as January 1994 dawns and Commodore teeters on the edge of bankruptcy.

A photo of CU Amiga January 1994 with Clarrise Cat and Flip the Frog, Eric W Schwartz characters both, on the cover. Clarisse is standing in a sassy pose with a sly wink and holding a huge paintbrush while Flip looks bamboozled and drenched in blue paint.

EWS animations were one of my gateways into the furry fandom

Seeing Eric Schwartz drawings in Amiga magazines always makes me happy. Apparently they always mixed up the names of his characters though lol

Remembering the gorgeous Amiga Lagoon from the Brilliance ads by Jim Sachs 💙 via Amiga Graphics Archive => amiga.lychesis.net/applications... (cannot recommend this website enough!)

The Amiga Lagoon by famous Amiga illustrator Jim Sachs, it's a splendid pixel art lagoon with a monitor and a commodore amiga in a beautiful lagoon with colourful exotic fishes, a toucan, a pink flamingo, etc

Narrator's voice: "Commodore filed for bankruptcy three months later."

Good times ahead. Commodore expects to be fully profitable by 1994 and is past their darkest times ahead, proclaims this part of the article as Commodore reports losses of $9.7 for the last quarter (around $20m today)

I have used many many types of computers but the Amiga was the only computer I actually liked. Most are just tools for me, but the Amiga just worked for me. If it was a tool it fit me perfectly.I have used many many types of computers but the Amiga was the only computer I actually liked. Most are just tools for me, but the Amiga just worked for me.
