I wasn't much fond of Fate. I have almost all the Fortean Times ever, though.

Ask Buddha AI tells me I should stop trying to control things and accept that people who are inconsiderate are ignorant. Hard to do.

I think this applies definitely to the person who stopped in front of my house at 1030 PM and gunned it. Capital A Asshole

Last night, around 10:30 when I was almost asleep, a super-loud modified pickup truck gunned it in front of my house. I was so angry, I uttered very bad wishes for his travel. What a total jerk.

Same. I dread using it. It’s a struggle to wade through more and more complete trash.

I suppose. If you want Twitter all over again, you will not find Mastodon as comfortable. This app will end up the same way. I’m just here for posting but my main social effort will be there.

There used to be, at least, but it wasn't ultimately successful. So, a direction by some in the past few decades is to reject materialism; that the scientific method won't work here - "Change the Rules". Parapsychology’s problems are the lack of theory, reliability, and repeatability.

There are no set gatekeepers in ghost studies or paranormal investigation. So things have drifted madly. I don’t see much point in insisting things must be “this” way when there is no established rules to count on.

I like to use the word origins. Supernatural meaning outside the laws of nature and not amenable to scientific study. Paranormal meaning beyond normal but we might yet figure it out. But to communicate, we must acknowledge that the terms are variably and inappropriately used.

Agreed. But what definitions are used? The drift has definitely happened. So it seems we always have to explain, and people casually paying attention might not notice the nuance that shoudl be there. A similar problem happening with "cryptids" as the usage becomes looser as time goes on.
