Wasn't getting muslims in the U.S. to inform on suspected "terrorists" a major priority of law enforcement after 9/11? (No time to Google right now, but I'm sure I remember this.) So it's not like some of this hasn't already been attempted. Trump just wants to do it on steroids.

The only bit of nonsense here is the idea that cops, schools and other institutions don't already, to some extent, behave this way. There is definitely going to be an intensification and centralization of this under Trump, and it will get a lot worse, but this stuff is already (unevenly) here.
Except Trump wants 20 million deported. Which means he's going to force Latin\Hispanics regardless of citizenship to be deported or in camps.
