Honestly it depends on the host system. If it’s a Linux machine, I’ve used virtual-manager and KVM. On Windows, I’ve used both virtualbox and hyperv, and on a Mac either virtualbox or VMWare Fusion. (Fusion seems to be worth the investment on macOS, fwiw)

It's been a while since I've done anything with virtualization on a linux host. I wasn't sure about the current landscape. Thanks for the suggestions.
