That first touchdown, with Henry outracing the secondary, in one for the ages. That man deserves a superbowl ring, hopefully this year.

I’ve been there a number of times and can see how this could be true, especially in the winter. Also, I once paddled from Annisquam to Rockport and back and didn’t experience the wind - I must have picked a good day to paddle.

I had not heard about the death on the Reformatory Branch crossing of Route 62. It is a tough crossing that would benefit from the cancelled underpass. I was always terrified on the crossing, especially when I did it with my young boys.

Looking towards the Route 62 crossing with the ghost bike visible.
Close up of the ghost bike with the sign telling the reader of the life lost to bad design and fast driving. It also tells us that Concord and Bedford rejected the cross info even though funding would have come from the state.

Descending Mt Lafayette in the White Mountains of New Hampshire on Sunday. You can see the newer wings of Greenleaf Hut with Cannon Mountain across Franconia Notch. It looks like a bluebird day but we summited in the clouds 45 minutes earlier. If only we could have waited.

Photograph of the Appalachian Mountain Club Greenleaf Hut with Cannon Mountain and the Kinsmans in the middle distance and the upper Connecticut River valley visible. There are some clouds in the sky but the sun is shining on the hut.

I just found a store nearby where I can get these. I love onions and can’t wait to try these!

We call them pathletes. I remember one of my wife’s last rides and watching the pathletes scare her and everyone else’s as they weaved through bike traffic. I can’t blame her for walking away.

My only squid fact is this: the squid came into Vineyard Sound for a few weeks every summer - you could see the trawlers working from shore - and most of the catch was shipped to Europe. But there was always calamari when I ordered it here. This was in the 1990s so maybe not a current squid fact.

I talked to the owner of this Kei van. He was driving his kids in it the day we met but he told me it’s principal use is for carrying his tools for his trade. It would be a huge bummer if he lost the right to use this vehicle in Massachusetts. cc: @gravelinfluencer.bsky.social

A Kei van in a parking lot. While it is a tall vehicle, it is visibly narrower and shorter than the cars around it.

I’m sorry to report that while I rode my bike through there in 1993, I can’t recall a thing about the town and I’m unlikely to get back there anytime soon.
