It nearly broke me back in the day. That was pre-internet job application too, though I'm not entirely certain that made it more or less painful to be honest.
It’s absolute whiplash to get rated as eligible for GS-13 immediately out of undergrad but then not be referred because I don’t have hiring preference. Inshallah, they have only increased my resolve and determination.
