Maybe he needs them to relinquish some of the guilt he has about the way he ran previous companies (not sure what he's doing other than publicitising now). But it really irks me that he's now profiting off something to "gain happiness" when he ran a business where he didn't care about anyone else.

And I don't care about psychedelics. They can be fun/enlightening if used in a safe space. No judgment!! But on the other hand, I find it very ironic this person who ran a company that almost no-one was happy at claims that he's unlocked the power to happiness through them.

But now the old CEO (maybe they're still around, I'm not sure) is on my LinkedIn blasting as much publicity as possible about his book on psychedelics.

The company overall was awful. My first paycheck was delayed (in addition to others), but I overlooked that red flag bc I was young and at that time working from home was a dream, even if it meant taking a pay-cut.

Their job? Calling current customers of Comcast and offering upsells. The last year I worked there, I was supposed to hire 50 people a week. Obviously this isn't reasonably doable.

Not only was the pay for "sales" reps awful, but they also required everyone to pass a credit check, which knocked out 75% of the people selected for hire.

It ended up being hiring telemarketers for $9/hr (which even at that time was abysmal, but commissions make it up, right? [NO]).

I need someone to beat the bosses for me in Zelda, would she be down for that, too? I get too scared 😭😭
