I guess I’m on the rightward edge of BlueSky so yeah, there’s a slant here, but I have no trouble finding lots of conversations with people who disagree with me enough to be interesting but not so much that the conversation is pointless. There *are* people further to my right that I miss here…

But when e.g. a Shoshana Weissman or Jeff Blehar chooses not to stay here, I wonder how much of it is “the place is too lefty/hostile”, and how much is “if I leave Twitter, that will be seen as taking sides against Elon/the GOP and I’m not ready to do that just now.”

Also: I talk to people I disagree with all the time. I do it by 'going outside,' and I honestly wonder if some of these people try it. I admit I curate things pretty tightly here, but this is not remotely the only place I read/talk to people/learn things!
