Nintendo seems to be doing fine with their new releases. How many lay offs have they had during the mass exodus these past 2 years? Huh...
I don't think a lack of metaverse content (however you want to call it) is the reason AAA is failing. I think it's because you're firing your talent and the people remaining are strained by the increased workload and it's producing slop games that no one wanted in the first place.

My personal highlight was the Lady Ethereal fight, even if I died like 30 times to her. I didn't even mention how well they fleshed out the world and how well rounded every character is. Red Candle is a phenomenal game studio and I cannot wait to see their next project.
Almost finished Nine Sols and I think it's my goty. Polished to a mirror shine, it's beautiful, haunting, sad, exhilarating, intriguing and charming. Gameplay is very parry heavy with Hollow Knight style combat. Animation is fluid like a Thunder Lotus game. The soundtrack will stick with you Buy it
