FYI, every time I see those "omg!!!! what on earth could the Roman Dodecahedron POSSIBLY be used for!!!!!" articles I just say "Knitting gloves, you buffoons," and move on. I feel like the indigenous people trying to tell the English where the Arctic shipwrecks are.

Um, do you knit? I do, while indeed fingers of gloves *might* be knit on them, there's no way that they provide *different size* knitted tubes. It's the number & size of pegs that determine the scale of the resulting knit, not the size of the holes the tube is pulled through.
