There are Amelanchier species all the way to the west coast, too. Just more shrubby out there. One of my favourites!
Flower dump! Lupines, giant oriental poppy, weigela (say it aloud, it’s fun), thyme. It’s a hot summer so far and my 3rd season for many of these plants and I’m loving the vigour. 🌱
How will you separate these?

You can literally grow unlimited fruit trees from seed and nobody can stop you. Found this plum sprouting in a bag of soil in the cold room, leftover from last year’s germination experiment. She’s ready to roll! Only a couple weeks of growth here. 🌱

Have also heard Siberian C is a good candidate for us zone 5 Canadians.
