Ooh! thanks for that, I’ll see what I can do this week 😊

Lots of changes with Entoloma aren’t there. In a way I’m glad I left them and didn’t try too hard with their I.D’s as it’s easier to learn than to remember to forget and re-learn 🤔 I’m determined to put in more effort with them now though 🤞🏼

That’s a great book isn’t it, I can’t wait for his next which will include updates on the Big blue pink-gills among others.

Really great idea Clare, would love to see this happen here but can’t get my head around setting it up. I was thinking of having a few people running it as a group thing but happy to see it happen either way

Stinking iris, I think the berries and seed pods are as attractive as the flower 🙂 These have their own dedicated rust fungus which you can see on its leaves as blisters and holes with a yellow edge. Nature!

Yes they are adaptable but take that a stage further and it becomes an evolutionary process that given enough time may result in different species.

I hadn’t thought about this but think I’m the same. My garden is more of an offering to nature, I grew lettuce and was happy to see the big black slugs enjoying them so let them be. My compost pile in the rain has a multitude of snails all enjoying themselves, I had a look for other things for them😃

I had the specimen above (growing with Pine) and this specimen (growing with Lime) sequenced by Rod Tulloss (Mr Amanita) in New Jersey to see if they were the same Amanita species, they were identical.

That’s a very nice Hygrocybe intermedia - Fibrous Waxcap, considered a good indicator of quality grassland. Nice find 😊

Keep looking, it’s a bit early season for them still, they seem to prefer night temperatures of less than 10 degrees C. Look for them where you would find the more common Laccaria laccata as they often share habitat, good luck 🤞🏼
