Ah so 9/11 was not political, according to that definition?
9/11 discriminated pretty well between "people living in America" and "people living in KSA", which was of political interest to the architects of that attack. However, I am no scholar of terrorism, and the term is used to demonize the perpetrators of terror, so I will yield the argument here.
